Shot list

A shot list is a document that has everything that happens in a video by describing each shot within the video. On set it could be used as a checklist which helps the crew have a sense of direction and it helps prepare the crew for what they are about to film.

The number one rule for a shot list is that a wide shot is always first and this because in case something happens on set or to the cast we still have a shot that establishes the location. Next is the mid then close up and finally a special shot.

We created this shot list for the organisation of the group to help on the day of filming and to ensure that we won’t forget to film any shot.
